The advantages of EFQM has often been associated with large companies that recognise the competitive advantage of investing in the process but hundreds of small organisations the length and breadth of the United Kingdom have invested in EFQM and become advocates for its unique self assessment techniques.
Now this remarkable self assessment process has been integrated into a UK Excellence Recognition Programme. This is available in three simple steps to help your business move easily and simply towards the fully integrated approach which is found in those companies using the Business Excellence Model. Level OneCommitment MarqueYou will need to complete a systematic self-assessment exercise based around the fundamental concepts of excellence and also demonstrate that you have successfully deployed an improvement plan confirming commitment from your senior management team to its implementation. No formal submission is required but a licensed assessor will visit you to verify that you have met the required levels. Successful achievement of this Marque entitles you to use the insignia on your stationery and promotional literature.

Level TwoAchievement MarqueYou will need to complete a minimum of two cycles of self-assessment against the nine criteria of the EFQM Excellence Model prioritised and integrated the findings into your business plan and be able to identify the measurable and verifiable improvement over the two cycles. The continuing commitment and involvement of your senior management team is a pre-requisite. You will be required to provide documented evidence of your achievements to a licensed assessor who will conduct a full site visit. Successful achievement of this Marque entitles you to use the insignia on your stationery and promotional literature.

Level ThreeInvestors in ExcellenceYou will be able to demonstrate that all areas of the Excellence Model are being addressed in a systematic way and that planned Results have been achieved through sound approaches, well deployed and regularly reviewed. Typically this will have been achieved through a sustained cycle of self-assessment against the 9 criteria of the EFQM Excellence Model, with the improvement prioritised and integrated into your business plan. You will also need to demonstrate a balanced set of results with targets and benchmarks set, where appropriate, for key measures. Successful achievement of this Standard entitles you to a plaque and use of the insignia on your stationery and promotional literature.
